    ABOUT VERONICA
Veronica Bailey has served as the staff costumer for Pastimes Entertainment since 2004 and the Connecticut Renaissance Faire since 2005, putting to use her talent for recreating period garb and creating unique pieces inspired by historical fashions.

Veronica began Storied Threads in 2006 to showcase her work and make it available to the general public for the first time.

    ABOUT STORIED THREADS
Each garment produced in the Storied Threads line is truly unique. Most dealers in medieval and Renaissance garb sell mass-produced items in an array of different colors, but each Storied Threads item is created by hand by Veronica herself, and no two garments are ever alike.

If you want something even more unique and unusual, Storied Threads can create custom pieces to your specifications, from simple tunics to full Tudor gowns.

Take a look at my Pics to see a sample of the things we sell. And of course, come visit the store at http://www.freewebs.com/storiedthreads!

    I can haz embroidery?

Tuesday, August 19, 2008, 09:03 AM EST [General]

It's official! Storied Threads is now embroidery-capable!  We've got a few embroidered Pirate Sashes made up for a test run at Down East Pirate Days this weekend.  Once I have a feel for what sorts of designs are well-received, I'll make up some more for SPF and CTRF as well.  And, of course, we'll be adding more and more designs to our library.  I actually have more prepared, I just haven't put them on fabric yet.  As soon as I do, I'll scan them in and get them up on the website, too.

    Fall Front Knee Breeches

Monday, June 23, 2008, 11:44 AM EST [General]

Remember a while ago, I mentioned that one of the benefits of designing new women's clothes was that I get to keep the prototype? Well, the same holds true for Mike -- nine times out of ten, when I make something new in my men's line, he gets to keep the first one.  And this time was no exception, as I finished my first pair of Fall Front Knee Breeches this weekend!

Mike tried them on Sunday afternoon, and lunged and advanced and retreated and kicked his way around the studio, and declared them very comfortable and not restrictive at all for fighting, which made me happy.  There are, as always, some bits to tweak before I make the first pair for a paying customer, but they're all minor, and overall, I'm very happy with the way these came out.
